This policy explains what information this website collects, who handles it, and how to ask me to delete it. BitForge Lab is a solo practice based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, run by its founder, Daniel. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected].
What the contact form collects
When you send an inquiry through the contact page, I receive what you type into the form: your name, email address, company name, the service you are asking about, your industry, your message, and any optional fields you fill in (phone number, an approximate device count, whether you have a current IT provider, and your insurance renewal month). I use this information to reply to you, to prepare for a fit call, and to scope and quote an engagement. I do not sell it or add you to a marketing list.
Who processes form submissions
The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. Web3Forms receives the submission and forwards it to my inbox. Their handling of that data is described in the Web3Forms privacy policy. The form includes a hidden spam-check field that is never shown to visitors.
Booking a call
If you book a call through a scheduling link on this site, the scheduling provider (Google Calendar appointment scheduling) collects the name, email address, and any notes you enter, and adds the meeting to both calendars. That information is handled under Google's privacy policy.
Email and phone
If you email or call me directly, I keep the correspondence and notes needed to follow up and to run the business.
Tracking and cookies
This site does not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and it sets no cookies of its own. Two third-party services are loaded to display the site: Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and article images on the Insights pages may load from Unsplash. Each of those providers receives your IP address and browser details when it serves a file, as any web server does. If that changes in the future, I will update this page first.
Retention
I keep inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, to deliver an engagement, and to meet ordinary business record-keeping needs. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.
Your choices
To ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email [email protected]. I will confirm the request and act on it within 30 days. Deleting a submission from my records does not remove the copy that Web3Forms or Google may hold under their own retention rules; I will tell you how to reach them if you want that removed too.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
